She has been given the portfolio of Senior Primary and Secondary Healthcare/Specialised Healthcare and Medication Education in Punjab assembly since August 2018; Selected to provincial assembly of Punjab as a candidate of PTI on a reserved seat for women in Pakistani general election, 2018. Dr. Yasmin Rashid is a Pakistan Tehreek - e- Insaf Punjab General Secretary. She retired from the Government Service in 2010 as a Professor & Head of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department, King Edward Medical University, Lahore.
