He is currently serving as a Governor of Balochistan since August 2018. Dr Ameer Jogezai is a pediatrician by profession; Served as the Registrar in Bolan Medical College, Quetta. Dr. Ameer Jogezai's elder brother Sardar Gul Mohammad Khan Jogezai has also served as the Balochistan governor from 1991 to 1994.
