General Zia organises Party-less national elections in February 1985. MRD parties boycot the polls. Muhammad Khan Junejo of Muslim League is sworn in as Prime Minister and GeneralZia as President. The National Assembly adopts Eighth Amendment Bill giving powers to the President to dissolve the National Assembly. Martial Law is lifted and amended 1973 Constitution revived.
